What are the required hours for the pre-licensing program? (All Classroom courses)
The state of Florida requires that you complete a 52-hour course for personal lines approved by the state.

Where can I take the Exam & how much does it cost?
You will schedule your exam through the Pearson Vue Website.  The exam cost is $56.

How do I file a license application and how much does it cost?
You can file a license application on the state’s website through "My Profile"
The cost for license application is $50.
There is also a $58.25 fee paid to the fingerprinting vendor.
The license ID is $5.


How much is the renewal fee and how often do I have to renew?
A Florida license is perpetual, BUT it will expire if it goes for more than 48 months without an appointment or if the required continuing education hours are not completed.


What are the required Continuing Education hours?
Personal Lines requires 24 hours of CE: 3 hours in ethics, 1 hour in premium discounts, and the remaining 20 hours in personal lines.

Your compliance period is determined by the date you were licensed and your birth month. Your continuing education hours are due the last day of your birth month, after you have held the license for 24 months.
