Trade Show Support

Having a booth at trade shows and similar events can put you in the sights of the very clientele you want to reach—people with jewelry, with disposable income, and often with a clientele likely to need your services. The people you meet there are also potential liaisons to their colleagues, clients and friends.

At a show unrelated to gems and jewelry, you’ll stand out. With the right approach, this works to your advantage.

Doing your first trade show can be a bit daunting, so JIBNA will help you with the nuts and bolts. We have available for Appraiser-Agents the use of a table drape, inviting a closer look at what you have to offer, and two eye-catching banners. One is a very large close-up of a ring, giving a view few non-gemologists have ever seen. That picture alone should cause attendees to pause at your table. The other banner carries information that many viewers will find startling—that insuring jewelry on their Homeowners policy is not such a good idea.

You’ll need to bring a sign with the name of your business. It’s a good idea to have handouts on the table, for people to browse at your booth and to take home and review later. The JIBNA client brochures are important (be sure they’re imprinted with your logo!). “Caring for your jewelry” and “What every jewelry owner should know” are likely to prompt questions and begin conversations.

Most important—bring your scope. Nothing draws a crowd like the opportunity of being able to look at their jewelry under the microscope.
